It was market day in Barcelos this morning and we would have loved to stay and linger and explore this town a little further, but it was going to be another big day, so we hit the road.
We were lucky again to have overcast skies, no rain, but temperatures around 24 degrees.
Crosses with sorrow stones are a regular part of the route.
These bikers had biked 76 kilometres from Porto in the morning stopping to chat with pilgrims on their way and keeping tabs of the different nationalities. Our 10 Canadians put Canada on top over Germany.
